Zone Instructors:

Lori Hanson Gangola, the owner of Zone Dance, began dancing at the age of 3 and has trained with leading edge teachers and studios ever since.
At the age of 21, Lori opened her first studio in Irvine, CA, and quickly became one of the largest and most successful training facilities in the area, turning out some of the best dancers in the industry. Lori created and perfected a training program designed around children from 3-6 years old, teaching them a combination of dance styles and tumbling along with teamwork, attention, praise, and hard work. Building on the fundamentals of technique, these young children quickly excel to become true dancers. Lori continues to teach beginning through advanced dancers of all ages, focusing on her award winning Competition Teams. Her greatest Joy is the ability to teach, dance, and work with kids for a living. “I am Blessed, after 26 years in the industry". “I love what I do everyday and I am grateful to have such a wonderful, talented staff”.

Maggie Dormier is a dancer, choreographer and teacher who has been dancing since she could walk and teaching for the past 17 years. She began her training by being awarded scholarships nine years consistently to the country’s top jazz studios such as Dupree Dance Academy and the EDGE Performing Arts Center. At 13 she was signed by Bobby Ball Dance Agency which allowed her to work in commercials, television and industrials with dance greats like Brian Friedman, Wade Robson, Eddie Garcia, Alex Magno, Marguerite Derricks and Gregory Hines. Her choreography credentials vary from instructional videos, to singing groups, to full ballets, to national winning competition teams. As a teacher she has taught jazz, ballet, pointe, tap and hip-hop in conjunction with correct techniques of classical dance as well as keeping up with the ever changing new styles of dance. Her motivation is to teach each student to rise to their personal best and be the greatest dancer that they can be.
